Notre Dame de Paris

From the hotel: 11 mins by public transport - 19 mins on foot – 6 mins by bike

Among the capital’s most emblematic monuments, Notre-Dame de Paris holds a special place in the hearts of Parisians and tourists alike, who come from far and wide to discover its splendour. The images of the terrible fire that ravaged it moved the whole world.

The cathedral contains priceless works of art; its architecture, the details of its façade, the ancestral stained glass windows, its rose window and its spire, which will once again point to the sky, are priceless and attract millions of visitors every year. Its Gothic architecture makes it one of France’s most remarkable cathedrals.
Notre-Dame de Paris has often been chosen as the setting for literary works or movie sets. In the minds of many, along with the Eiffel Tower, it is the symbol of Paris and France.

The forecourt of Notre-Dame is also a must-see in Paris. During work to build a car park, Gallo-Roman remains were discovered here, and the crypt can now be visited. The gardens bordering the cathedral are also a popular place to stroll. The quayside, just a stone’s throw away, is the departure point for the batobus and péniches that offer cruises along the Seine to discover its monuments.

Leaving the Hôtel Bellevue and the Chariot d’Or, all you have to do on foot is follow one of the streets leading down to the Seine, cross the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville and then the Seine, and you’ll soon find yourself standing next to the Cathedral that Parisians lovingly call “the old lady”.

The hotel’s helpful and friendly staff will be happy to help you with your visit.
