Louvre Museum

From the hotel: 14 mn by public transport – 17 mn on foot – 8 mins by bike

Along with the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame and Montmartre, the Louvre Museum remains one of the most visited places in France and Paris. From the hotel, go straight and walk to the Hôtel de Ville via the Georges Pompidou Centre and let yourself be carried along the Seine and its famous bridges to reach the Louvre on foot at the end of a pleasant stroll along the quays.

The Louvre Museum is a historic monument that has been renovated and embellished many times over and we can admire, under the Pyramid, the remains of the former residence of the Kings. The Louvre Museum and its architecture are a work of art in themselves. Outside, on the edge of the Tuileries Gardens, you can admire the Triumphal Arch of the Carousel, one of the last remains of the Tuileries Palace, erected in the beginning of the 19th century to celebrate Napoleon’s victories.

The courtyard of the Louvre is also a popular passageway for Parisians, with its bars, restaurants and shady terraces. You’ll love strolling under the Carrousel and browsing the many designer boutiques and souvenir shops.
In addition to its permanent collections, the museum offers temporary and thematic exhibitions of works and artists from all over the world. Families are privileged guests, with the opportunity for children to follow dedicated itineraries and take part in fun workshops.

The Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, the Victory of Samothrace, Liberty Guiding the People or the mysterious Egyptian rooms – over 400,000 works on display at the Louvre make it one of the most popular museums in the world.
