Les Halles
From the hotel: 6 mins by public transport - 7 mins on foot – 3 mins by bike
Les Halles and its Forum are now a must for Parisian shoppers. Its immense gardens stretch all the way to the Musée Pinault in the former Bourse du Commerce with its prestigious dome, past the majestic church of Saint Eustache.
The restaurants lining the avenues testify to the past of the old “trou des Halles” market, and one of them is housed in a remain of the Baltard pavilions of the period. Under the canopy of the Forum, the shopping centre offers dozens of shops and restaurants, 1 cinema, 1 swimming pool, 1 centre dedicated to the cinematographic arts, and sports and play areas.
In summer, the esplanade is a place to relax and play sports. Fnac regularly hosts cultural events here, and the centre organises sports events to which celebrities are invited.
The shopping streets around the Forum attract millions of visitors. After crossing the square and the Innocents fountain, you quickly reach the rue de Rivoli, Châtelet and the Seine. On the other side, the famous Montorgueil district extends its pedestrian streets. Walk along the gardens to rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré and the Louvre Museum, the Palais-Royal with the Comédie Française, the gardens and the Buren columns. If you continue a little further, you will soon reach the Opera Garnier.
A few minutes’ walk from the hotel will take you past the church of Saint Eustache to Les Halles.
